Norovirus woes

My DP had a horrible bout of sickness and watery stools from Sunday night. He's now mostly recovered. I started having the same symptoms last night, and am still ill.

As his symptoms lasted just a day can it still be norovirus?

The problem is we have a nearly 7 month old baby, and I am terrified of her catching this bug. My DP
Is still contagious but he has to look after her as I think I'm much more contagious. We also plan to drive home for Christmas in a couple of days, do you think it will be safe to travel? We will be in a car breathing the same air for 3 hours+. And I really want to hold my baby 😞. I had hyperemesis when pregnant and this is bringing back horrid flashbacks 😩. Haha I sound like a bit of a drama lama here!

Norovirus is often over and done with in one day, in healthy people. Comes on sudden, leaves sudden.

Sounds tough. Lots of Handwashing.

The infection is inside you guys & you can't bleach yourselves (don't try!). Wash hands often and well, & avoid face contact. Best of luck. x

Hope you feel better soon Thanks.
With regard to you traveling home for Christmas, the usual advice with any D&V, is to wait 48 hours after your last episode of either D or V. Your baby is exposed to it and either will/will not pick it up, obviously good hand hygiene and clean the loo, taps, sink, door handles after each episode, but you really don't want to be spreading it around your family, (or anyone else).
