Has anyone else been diagnosed with this condition? For me it started at the optician when she noticed my optic discs we're swollen and sent me on to the eye casualty at hospital. Neurology unit did 2 lumbar punctures and they discovered my spinal fluid pressure was ridiculously high. I ended up in hospital after starting the medication (as it took a lot of getting used to). My consultant said if I loose weight, my symptoms would get easier to manage and I could go into remission. If things continued to get worse I would need shunt surgery to save my eye sight. So since September I have gone from 137kg to 110kg (now). I still get headaches and I'm a regular outpatient but I was wondering did weight loss help anyone else? Did the diamox help you?
