there is bleeding from one nostril.
happened for a week.
getting over a horrible cold?>
should i worry?

I had it for about 4-5 days a couple of weeks ago. Just a streak of blood when I blowed my nose - worse in teh morning. It was accompanied buy a wierd constant 'I need to blow my nose' feeling - but I didn't actually need to blow my nose IYSWIM. Like you said just from 1 side.

DD3 also had it for a couple of days.

Both of us have recovered no probs. I suspect it is due to the irritation fro teh cold. I suspect the blood vessels up there are a bit fragile (but then why doesn't it happen more often wiht a cold [ponders])

Call your GP's office on Monday morning and tell them you've got unexplained bleeding from the nostril.

Is it a bleed like when you scratch your nose when you may be picking your nose (not suggesting you do pick your nose?

not, not picking..tissues all bloody and soem clots too, sometimes

You could have burst a blood vessel from blowing your nose,gp will be able to see in an instant.

I wasn't trying to insinuate you are picking your nose....just wondered whether it is a similar bleed to what you might experience if you had scratched the internal membranes of your nose...

From googling it seems it could be sinusitis...but I am sure it could be a million other things too.
