DS1's always used to get worse at the change of seasons.

Beauregard · 20/04/2007 22:41

I thought she had bad nappy rash a while back but now i'm thinking that it is the eczema.
Her skin is also recovering from a very severe bout of chicken pox so her skin looks awful.

What age, pelvicfloor?

greyriver · 20/04/2007 22:45

funny you should mention this, but dd's eczema is flaring up for no apparent reason as well. Not even her normal creams are helping or reducing it.

Beauregard · 20/04/2007 22:46

15months

DS's (8.5 months) face has flared up again. Not sure if this is eczema but it had been much better for ages. I wondered if it was a reaction to the suncream I used last weekend.

Dinosaur · 20/04/2007 22:50

Poor DD2. My DS3 also gets eczema a bit.

MamaG · 20/04/2007 22:51

mine is - due to regular swimming

Your poor children (and poor me )

Blondilocks · 20/04/2007 22:52

MIne is a bit. Think it was the heat last weekend.

Typical as I need to look super attractive next weekend :S

Beauregard · 20/04/2007 22:53

Ds has got patches on the inside of his elbows. I thought it was supposed to improve in Summer.

MrsGumby · 22/04/2007 21:41

DS is suffering and I'm more itchy than usual...definitely think it's the changeable weather.

Beauregard · 22/04/2007 21:41

I always find that with the dd's it gets worse in summer.

doddle · 22/04/2007 21:45

DS2's has. It's tree pollen with him. Happens every year.

BettySpaghetti · 22/04/2007 21:46

Both DD and DS only get the very occasional patch of eczema at the backs of their knees if we use bath products too often but both have had flare ups on their arms and legs in the last 3 weeks.

I took DD to the GPs as hers was really bad and became infected (whilst we were away in Belgium) - she was prescribed various creams and bath products -never had to have that before .

I put it down to a wash powder we'd not used before, possibly made worse by suncream?

Blondilocks · 22/04/2007 21:46

Me too.. always seems to be bad when the weather changes. It is sooo annoying!

Blondilocks · 22/04/2007 21:47

Am sure suncream triggers mine off in the summer.

TeeCee · 22/04/2007 21:51

I don't get eczema but right now I have it right up the inside of both of my arms. It's probably stress / pregnancy related, but it's not very nice. It starts at my wrist and goes up to just past the elbow but only inside the arm where there is no hair.

funnypeculiar · 22/04/2007 21:52

ds & dd both suffering atm - ds defn reacts to suncream - think dd's is heat related

NannyL · 22/04/2007 22:31

My 4 year old charges is AWFUL at the moment...

talking open sores from the top of his forhead right down to the tips of his toes literally. (an ALL places in between)

his daddy is a GP anyway and he's going to insist he is referred to a dermatologist...

he is covered in cream 5+ times a day..

*morning steroid
*hour later lotion

(hour later suncream)

*midday lotion

*after bath (with emoliant in, and lotions used as soap) steroid
*hour later (just before bed) smothered in epiderm... thick oily cream

*middle of night smothered in epiderm! (often twice)

Poor child, spends his whole life being stripped naked for cream
hour later thick

3littlefrogs · 22/04/2007 22:32

Yes - tree pollen and sunscreen.

nally · 22/04/2007 22:43
