I've just had a colposcopy and LLETZ procedure because the consultant could see high grade CIN.
I left the hospital and now am in floods of tears because I forgot to ask him if he could tell the difference between high grade CIN and cervical cancer. Does anyone here know please?

Hi Olaf

I’ve got one booked in for next week and I think that they have to have it tested further to tell you that so it would be a case of waiting for further results. I hope you’re ok, it’s a nasty shock.

Thanks patient that's what I'm so worried about. He said high grade CIN and he's 99% sure that I don't need to worry about cancer. But how can he say that before the biopsy results? I'm surprising myself with how upset I am

Just bumping for you.

I’ve terrified myself looking at Google over the past few days and I believe that many cases of cervical cancer are visually obvious to those who know what they’re looking for so I reckon you’re going to be absolutely fine but appreciate that this won’t stop you worrying
