Namechanged for this as have friends who know me on here and I'm not quite ready to have anyone know 😕

Found a lump this evening when I was showering and tbh I'm shitting myself. But I'm not sure it is a lump?

No pain, no change to the skin and no other symptoms apart from a thickened rope like structure under the skin about 2 inches long.

I'm embarrassed to say I don't regularly check my breasts so don't know if this is just me or if I should be worried. Due on in a couple of days if that makes any difference.

Think I shall be phoning gp on Monday for an appointment but also don't want to take up time if it's nothing to worrry about Sad

Chances are it’s nothing but it’s a good idea to get it checked because you either feel better knowing it’s nothing or at least be on track to treatment if it is something.

They won't think you're wasting their time. get to the gp next werk and hopefully that will put your mind at rest.

I found a thick rope like lump in my breast once. Turned out it was a rib Blush

But get an appt to get lump checked out. Chances are it’s nothing but not worth ignoring it. You’ll be seen within two weeks (probably) but that’s the norm for breast lumps so don’t freak out.

Try not to worry and def don’t Google Flowers

It is probably a cyst. See the GP asap. You'll wait about a month for a mammogram.
If you do nothing, you will only worry. Better to get it checked.

I'm in the same boat. Found a lump at the weekend and breast feels different too.
Saw GP this morning and I'm being referred to the Breast Clinic.
How are you?

PragmaticWench · 11/12/2017 18:07

Definitely ask for a referral to the breast clinic, they should see you quickly. I've been twice, they were lovely and I'm glad I went.
