What is this thing?

A lump showed up on my hand today. It's fairly big and hard. Was painful earlier(especially when moving my wrist) but fine now. Hopefully someone knows and the answer does not need a visit to the GP anytime soon.

Also think it's a ganglion but you should go to the GP to make sure.

I'll try and get an appointment at some point after the 19th. Hoping it will go down, even if it sounds unlikely (given the internet info).
