Adrenal adenomas

Please someone tell me about theses things which were found incidentally after C T scan of kidneys. Don't have obvious symptoms
But decided to see endocrine specialist who wznts to check
Hormone levels. Aldo did 24 hr urinr collection am waiting for results and have eofked myself up into s frenzy. Am terrified I hzvd dome thing awful and cannot think straight . Googling has made me feel worse

I know you must be very worried. But it's not that rare to find lumps and bus on adrenal glands when you go looking in that general area. And quite a few are found at post mortem too - for instance when healthy people have had accidents, a percentage of those people will be found to have had adrenal lumps too - ones that did not do anything, weren't going to harm them, but we're there all the same.

So as you know, the next thing to do is to check that it IS just a lump. They need to check for two things:

1. is it 'functional' so is it altering the way that your adrenal gland works? Glands basically make hormones, so they are checking that your adrenals are making the right amounts of hormones.
2. is it benign. They mostly do things though imaging, so CT scan etc.

It's very very rare that it is a non benign lump.
