Armpit Abscess- Hot bottle treatment help! Freaking out

I had an armpit abscess, went to the doctors today for antibiotics but was told it's possibly too late and I'll have to go to a&or to have it drained, I've had this before and took full anaesthetic, an overnight stay in hospital and months of follow up appointments so to prevent this I decided to oook at things that could help online. I saw about heating a bottle and putting it over the abscess to drain it and so did this. I could see blood draining into the bottle but when I removed the bottle there was a big (little finger tip size) fleshy bloody thing coming out of my armpit where the abscess was. What is this? Do I need to see a doctor? Will it eventually go back down? I'm so freaked if anyone has any insight please let me know 🙈
For now I have covered it in savlon and a bandage but blood makes me squeamish and the sight of it nearly made me pass out. Please advise me!

I have no idea what it is but yes, I think you need to see a Dr first thing tomorrow. Better safe than sorry. Have you googled it to see if anyone has had similar?

If it was a cyst that then got infected, it could be the cyst 'gunk' is quite thick. Wish I was there to help sort it. Love that stuff.

You really shouldn’t go putting hot bottles over abscesses. If the abscess was to burst into the bottle - obviously the entire point - it can leave fragments of torn skin so it’s an absolute no no - although I know that’s very dull to hear for all the sporners out there

Have they mentioned hidradenitis supprativa? I had an abscess in my armpit and had GA for draining as it was excruciating. Had two plastic surgeries since on it and while it's obvious it's been operated on, crossed fingers it hasn't reoccurred
