Help. I have just crawled out of bed. Awful pain, swollen face. Phoned docs yesterday, but cant get in until next Tuesday. What can I do in the meantime ? taken paracetamol, but doesn't help much. Feel hot and generally lousy. Am full time carer for DH It's very difficult and I need to feel better soon. Carers coming tomorrow to get him dressed/washed but he gets very agitated and keeps calling for me. Alzheimers. Is there something i can do for it my earache ?

Phone back and demand an emergency appointment. Earache is horrendous, you can't wait a week for that, you may have a nasty infection. I used to get loads of them and the pain can be excruciating.

Hot water bottle for the ear ache and a sinus/decongestant spray my ears are blocked at the mo with a cold and this seems to have helped x

Thankyou . Will make a hotwater bottle. Neighbour going to chemist for spray and I will phone docs again. The receptionist is horrible, don't hold out much hope. They are closed this afternoon. I did wonder about putting heat on my ear, I think that might work.

The hotwater bottle is bliss. Something gurgly is going on and it is working.Flowers

Could it be a tooth op? Might be worth ringing a dentist, as it sounds like it could be a tooth infection with your face being swollen.
