I have just had a routine HB1c blood test for my diabetes, which came back at 6.4 which could be better but not too bad. The test results also showed that I have several loss of kidney function room. It has come as a huge shock as I didn't have any symptoms. I have had a second blood test this morning and depending on the results I will probably need to see a kidney specialist. I could do with a bit of support at the moment. DH is being brilliant but I know he is worried.
Does anyone have any experience of this?

Bigcomfy there are medications that may help!
Did they give you any numbers? I don't have any personal experience but thousands of people are in your position. I suggest the diabetes uk forums for support

Vulgarwheat thank you for your reply. I have some numbers (not good ones!) but will wait and see what tomorrow's results show up. I will look at the diabetes forums too.
