misdee · 17/04/2007 22:40

The donor must be the same height or taller by a maximum % (cant remember what % it is atm). he cant take a heart from someone smaller.

It must be so hard to keep on going.

hippipotami · 18/04/2007 10:25

Oh Misdee I am so sorry!!
I am 6ft1 and carry a donor card. Don't know may other tall folk, but will tell them about the importance of donor cards when I meet anyone!

Sorry to hear about L's asthma problems too. Saw on your blog she has been given the same spacer as my dd. (we have had it for 1 week now)
Sounds like they have the same asthma - coughing not the obvious wheezing.
Sorry to hear nursery was so crap at passing these important items on.

Grrr on your behalf.

Stay strong.

coppertop · 18/04/2007 10:32

Misdee xx

anorak · 18/04/2007 10:36

I could cry for you misdee

It's all so unfair, and so hard.

Hulababy · 18/04/2007 10:37

So sorry misdee

So, if Peter was at another hospital would he be allowed on the urgent list? Just seems really unfair that he can't go onto the urgent list because they have already had 3 hearts anyway.

MerlinsBeard · 18/04/2007 10:46

Oh misdee

Have you thought about going on gmtv or this morning so that it makes people aware of things like height wrt transplants? Would also make your situation known and more people aware of organ donation as well.
