COIL / ENDOMETRIOSIS / PROBLEM / NORMAL HELP & ADVISE

Hi, I have two healthy boys 8 & 6 normal birth etc. I discovered not long after my 2nd i had endometreosis 3 laparoscopy later and 3 coild later we decided to try for baby 3 (1st two were petty instant no issues ) 1 year of trying and nothing we thought maybe the endo has made fertility an issue, he got checked out no problem we decided to have the coil put back in (6 ish weeks ago ) to save heart ache. Never any problems before with coil. Its been a nightmare last couple of weeks the worst. So I usually get bad cramps usually on the left hand side however in addition to this I've been getting real bad cramps on the right side, real bad mood swings, non stop spotting nothing heavy more when you wipe but hasn't really had many non blood days, real bad headaches, very emotional, drained and tired. I'm booked in Thursday to have it removed as its been a nightmare but they will just take it out i wondered if anyone had the same or similar experience or weather there could be more to it as this is my 3rd coil and I've never had an issue before. I have 0 sex drive also.

I had very similar experience with the coil but with no endo. I think my hormones dipping(late 30s), heavy bleeding and the constant copper irritation of my womb really disagreed with me. I was constantly raging and self medicating feelings of being being overwhelmed with alcohol. Also paranoid of the niggles, aches and twinges it caused. It sounds ott but I felt better an hour after it was out.

I'm surprised you've been able to have the coil with endo? In my trust they won't allow it as there's a risk of endometrium growing over the coil!

Sarajandb · 21/11/2017 12:59

They recommend the coil as it usually stops periods which reduces symptoms.

Hmm that does seem odd and personally I'd be very careful using the coil. After your laps did they say where the endo was? If in your tubes then I'd maybe reconsider. The implant also uses similar hormones as do some pills?

Sarajandb · 21/11/2017 13:26

no its not in my tubes its on the left ovary and i had cysts on the right one same each lap.

victoire1208 - thanks yes the paranoia i keep worrying the symptoms are very similar with pregnancy related which we all know is highly unlikely but it doesn't stop the worry then you think well i would end up having an eptopic its complete head wreck. I'll be glad to get it out Thursday i just worry my endo symptoms come back full force. Has anyone had anything that has worked for endo ?

Cutting out meat and dairy massively helped mine, although you may see this as extreme depending on what you eat now.
Have a read up on plant based diet and endometriosis :) HTH

Bloody hell ive got a lamb dinner for tea pmsl.. I agree i dont think dairy helps i have exzema too and that is worse with too much cheese. I'll look into it thanks.

Haha well enjoy your dinner tonight and maybe have a look at reading up after that? Dairy is definitely the worst, especially when it comes to skin conditions. When I cut it out my acne miraculously cleared up too, and that was after 15 YEARS of medical treatments!!!
