Can't get over this stomach bug! Help!

I'm feeling really run down and fed up right now. Late last Thursday I was having awful stomach cramps all night and then had 2 bouts of diarrhoea. I had plain foods the next day, kept it down, then the day after (saturday) I had one bout in the night and one the early hours of sunday.

I've been meticulously clean, starved it for 24 hours, then started with plain food and gradually introduced normal food. So I had 5 days with no symptoms (other than the normal gradual getting used to food crumblings) and now today I woke up with the worst cramps and have had 2 more bouts Sad I'm really worried, and I live with someone who has a compromised immune system so I just need it gone soon! Any advice please?

Perhaps you need to take a stool sample to your gp to be tested for a specific virus?
Have you considered taking a good strength probiotic? They can help repair the good bacteria in the stomach.

sometimes tummy bugs can cause temporary lactose intolerance, it might be that!

Haven't been able to get anywhere to get probiotics, i'll see if I can get some when it starts to go, any reccommendations? GP doesn't want a stool sample and doesn't seem concerned, they told me to call if it goes and comes back a third time.

Also re the lactose intolerance, I was purposely really careful about that because I had it a few years ago after a virus, all I've had is a small cup of tea with barely any milk Sad

Also one saying probiotic. Doesn't sound like a stomach bug. What makes you think that?
Keep a food diary. Can you remember what you ate prior to these bouts?

I only thought it because it seemed to last the normal time, but now I'm not sure. The first time, the last few things I ate was a cereal bar and boiled ham and fresh salad. The second time, the night before I had pork with a mild cajun sauce and rice (everyone had the same and no-one else was ill)
