Found a lump in my breast

The lump has come from nowhere and I found it in the shower today. Was drying and caught a glimpse in the mirror it looks like a bite and there is a bump on my right breast..a bit dimply and sore looking/pink skin around it. There is a bump under the skin about 1/2cm in. It is under the nipple, a couple of cm to the right, quite hard.

I did have a breast reduction 2 years ago.. It is kind of near one of the vertical scars up to the nipple but not on it. I don't think it could be my body spitting out a stitch after all this time could It?

Has anyone got any advice?

Obviously I will book a doc appointment on Monday..but have a weekend of worrying. I am 42 and have young children. No history of bc in the family... it is probably nothing... but i am worrying...

Did you say sore looking with a red ring around it? I don't think cancer lumps does that, at least not at the early stages, not from what I've read about the topic anyway but am by no means an expert... Could it be an infection? Encapsulated pus? No red ring. Just generally red and a bit puckered. Hard lump...

Maybe it's a hair follicle that got infected or perhaps one of your pores got to sewn in during your operation, and one of them are now producing sebum, but without a pore it just grows and grows...
