UTI virgin

I know utis are super common and everyone gets them sooner or later. Somehow I've managed to get into my thirties without ever having one until this week. Ouch!! I was on antibiotics for three days and it seemed to pretty much clear up but now it's back with a vengeance and the doc has given me another weeks worth of antibiotics. Is it usual for the infection to come and go like this? Any tips on how to deal with it?

There are loads of people on this board who have experience of uti. Many with much more experience than me. Who will give you good advice.

One thing I found that helped me was a daily teaspoon and a half of cream of tartar with a squeeze of lemon juice diluted and dissolved with some warm water.

I found this on the internet as a home remedy and amazed how it helped.

The infection hadn't fully cleared which is why it reoccurred so quickly. I personally don't think 3 days is long enough to clear the infection - I had to go back for more antibiotics too. I always spares in the house just in case.
