cocodamol when 40wks pregnant?

i thought this was a big no-no but my bf's gp has prescribed it as she has pulled a muscle in her chest. what do you think?

codeine is offered for SPd and badck pain in late pregnancy so I guess there is some method behind it
Tell her to watch out for constipation, pregnancy is constipating and so is codeine.
