i have been taking an aspirin every day for the past 3 weeks (history of DVTs, poor circulation in legs) - since then i am covered in bruises and they are painful - are the two related ... presumably not a cause for concern but would appreciate some reassurance. TIA.

My late gran too asprin and this happened to her, my mum took it as advised by her GP and she also broke out in bruises and was told to stop taking it at once.
I would see your GP as soon as you can.

Hi, I am a long time lurker, and not actually posted on MN before, but felt I should respond to this.

I am not a medic, and I apologise if this is an inappropriate post, however, my aunt recently passed away after being prescribed an asprin a day. Her first symptoms were bruises, and then had a stroke. This was due to a (rareish) but catestrophic reaction to the asprin.

Please go see your GP or a medical professional.
