V painful cough

Yday overnight I developed a cough. It is a chesty cough, and sorry I have coughed up some thick dark yellow mucus. Along with this cough I have quite sharp pain in my right hand side of chest, making coughing difficult. I also cant seem to 'clear' my right side - hard to explain, but no matter how much I cough. I also feel a bit shivery. I have a GP apt for the 16th booked for a diff issue. Is this just cold/flu? Also, please does anyone have any suggestions of remedies. Thankyou xxx

I’d be phoning 111 for an out of hours appointment if I were you. Sounds like a chest infection.

Thanks. Not a chest infection apparently but I have tonsillitis, a middle ear infection and look to be developing sinusitis.
