Sore eye - what should I buy for it?

DD woke up this morning and the first thing she said was "sore eye" - the actual eye looks fine but it is a little red and sore looking in the outside corner, and a bit gungey.

Should I take her to the doc or can I get something at the chemists? She is 22 months.

Probably a bit of conjunctivitis if it's at all gungey.
Brolene eye drops tend to work without having to resort to the doctor. She'll probably scream blue murder when you try and put them in though if she's anything like mine.
