Spent £15 on canesten and all it’s done is set my fanny on fire and now I feel even worse than I did before Angry I’ve got an appointment tomorrow about my prolapse (thanks DD) and the thought of an internal exam is killing me, don’t even know if they will examine me if I’ve got thrush. What can I do to make it better?!

Have you tried the oral tablet?

RibenaMonsoon · 31/10/2017 20:29

I Agree, the oral tablet works wonders for me. The cream does sweet FA.

gingerbreadmam · 31/10/2017 20:30

Won't work overnight but I always drink lots of actimel probiotic drinks. Helps.

CauliflowerSqueeze · 31/10/2017 20:31

Fluconazole. It’s the generic pill - caneston do the same but it’s more expensive. It will kill it off.

T00ManyB00ks · 31/10/2017 20:33

SOmebody on here recommended the optibac probiotic for women. Won’t help in time but might help longterm

This is going to sound disgusting but honestly, it works. Shove some peeled garlic up your parts.
I don’t know why it works but it does 😂

Inkandbone · 31/10/2017 20:47

Do NOT shove garlic up your vagina.

are you mad

The oral pill is miles more effective than canestan IME. I had a spate of thrush a few years ago and the oral tablet is great.

12345onceicaughtafish · 31/10/2017 20:47

I second the oral tablet but for relief, the garlic does work!

Inkandbone · 31/10/2017 20:50

It works by burning away the infection! It can really burn irritated skin.

CauliflowerSqueeze · 31/10/2017 20:51

Garlic?!!!!! Shock

Just shove up a whole tiramisu I reckon

Fragglewump · 31/10/2017 20:52

Garlic??????Confused

12345onceicaughtafish · 31/10/2017 20:53

Oh no, don’t waste tiramisu....
Try the garlic or dont. Definitely
Get the oral tablet and I hope it gets better soon. Xx

Monoceros · 31/10/2017 20:56

I recommend natural yoghurt. Just rub it in and the thrush will be gone in the morning.

Inkandbone · 31/10/2017 20:58

It won't! It might relieve the symptoms though.

A bag of frozen veg helped me when my fanny was on fire.

KMoKMo · 31/10/2017 21:01

Are you sure it’s thrush? If canesten has aggravated you it may not be thrush.

notsureifimbeingur · 31/10/2017 21:18

I tried one or two drops of tea tree oil on a tampon, inserted... was the only thing that gave me relief.

CallingPeopleACuntOnFb · 31/10/2017 21:22

GARLIC?? 😱

MollyHuaCha · 31/10/2017 21:24

Go for your appointment and ask for treatment for both issues. Good luck. Hope you feel better soon. Flowers

Fragglewump · 31/10/2017 21:45

I’m still struggling with the garlic..

peachy94 · 01/11/2017 09:23

Thanks everyone, i had the tablet and the cream. Must have had a reaction to something in the cream it burned like hell and made everything very red and swollen Tablet seems to have worked I feel a lot better this morning. The natural yoghurt helped stop the burning so thanks for that. Slathered myself in DDs metanium overnight and that’s helped loads with the soreness so hopefully today won’t be too bad now
