Anyone ever used Magnesium OK for PMT?

And if so, does it work?

Went to the doc today as I came off AD's a couple of months ago and now feel like I have permanent PMT, she suggested that along with my Evening Primrose Oil (which I have been taking about 6 months as well as B6) that I try the Magnesium OK.

Am getting married in Cyprus at the end of May and hoping I am going to be nice and calm for that.

No ideas about the Magnesium I'm afraid, but congratulations on your forthcoming wedding. Whereabouts in Cyprus are you getting married?

Paphos, never been to Cyprus, do you know if its nice?

My (very nice) HV recommended it for pmt, as I was getting it really badly after having DS, but I'm so bad at remembering to take it, I have no idea whether it works or not.

Must admit I am hopeless too, hopefully the black moods will jog my memory though.

I am hopeless at remembering to take things, so bought a tablet dispenser from the chemists. I set up a months tablets at a time, then I can see at a glance if I've taken them. It lives next to the kettle, so I get reminded a few times a day.

Paphos is lovely. Has a great fishing harbour which is lovely to sit on and watch the world go by. My parents live near Ayia Napa. Will also be out there at the end of May

That dispenser is a good idea Laura032004, I need to remember to take them every day or else they arenot going to work.

Our wedding day is 1 June but we fly out on 23 May, its also DS 5th birthday two days after we fly so there will be celebrations all round.

Hi, I take Magnesium OK, and it does help. I wouldn't say that it totally cures it but it does reduce my bad temper and mood swings to a manageable level. As for remembering to take them, I just mark each pill S,S,M,T etc for the days of the week so I can keep track, a biro on the foil part works ok.

They do take a couple of cycles to kick in though.

Good luck with your wedding, some friends went to a wedding in Paphos and they said it was gorgeous.
