Flu jab

I had the flu jab monday afternoon. Having had proper flu a few years ago and being unable to get out of bed for a month, it is a priority for me.
My arm has been sore ever since but today I have a round raised circle around the injection site about 6 cm diameter and it is hot to the touch. I've never had this before. Is this normal? Tia.

Yes it is. Pic is taken directly from the staff information leaflet that comes with the vaccines.
Do keep an eye on it though...if it spreads much further or doesn't seem to be improving, go and see your practice nurse. Putting antiseptic cream like savlon can help :)
