Ovulation symptoms?

I recently came off the combined pill after about 10 years on it (had a one year break in the middle).
I had my withdrawal bleed and I'm now ovulating (I have a regular 28 day cycle and I'm on day 14 with egg white cervical mucus).
Do any of you feel unwell during ovulation? I'm incredibly bloated and feel dizzy, sore head and just a bit crap.
Not sure if it's just because it's the first time my body has properly ovulated in years after coming off the pill

Yep I feel a bit shit. My abdomen really hurts. I get ovulation pain (usually my left side). I also get very hot.

Does it just last a day for you or do you feel like that for a while?

Thicker mucus, ovary pain, a bit flushed and warm sometimes with headache and bloating which increases until the actual date. Loose bowels ( ditto) .

Thanks both. Sounds like what I'm experiencing isn't that unusual then. Feel so bloated I look pregnant!

If it goes on for more than a couple of cycles, see your gp just to check no nasties. I'm not an HCP and always better safe than sorry.
