Bleeding after sex

Everytime I have sex with DH I'm having some pink spotting the next day. I went to my GP who examined me said my cervix looks healthy and as I'm only in my early 20s with a recent clear smear she doesn't need to do any further investigations. Can this be right? I'm worried sick about cervical cancer.

I had the implant fitted 2 months ago and it's only happened since then so hoping it's a hormonal thing like she said. But how can she know for sure?

I had exactly the same, though with the mini pill not the implant. Everything came back normal when i went to the GP and it stopped as soon as I stopped taking the pill so must've been hormonal for me.

I think the implant and the mini pill are the same hormones so possible just an effect of that?

I really hope so. Before GP examined me he was convinced it was an erosion. But it isn't. Now I'm worried. Tempted for implant to be removed just to check but it's such a good form of contraception, other than the worry.

The bleeding is very light, you can only really tell on wiping. Sorry for tmi.

My bleeding was heavier than that, enough to be seen on a liner but not a pad or tampon (TMI) and always dark brown. My GP said it was probably a cervical ectropian but then she looked and said everything looked normal..did a smear which came back clear and swabs which were normal.

I heard that it's relatively common to get breakthrough bleeding with the implant. If the GP and a smear can't find anything sinister then I doubt it's anything to worry about. If it got heavier I would go back though

Thank you again. Although I suppose brown blood would mean old blood whilst pink means fresh. I just wish there was a way of ruling out the big C. I have two young children :(

I'm awake worrying. Does anyone know if I could ask to be referred to a gynaecologist? Please?
