Copper Coil - Spotting - Tummy Ache - Anyone know stuff??

I've had 2 periods since slowing/stopping breastfeeding. The first was hell - pain, flooding etc.

The next one was about 6 weeks later with weird aches and pains in the middle of the gap but nothing all that interesting iyswim.

I'm now on day 18, ov around day 14 (that is always very regular no matter how long the gap between periods iyswim).

I have been spotting for a couple of days, and today I have a stomach ache with it - but not period pains - and feel very very sick and tired.

Is this the coil working its coily magic?

I get sick and tired as soon as I have the wrong balance of hormones in my body, and feel like that but wrong iyswim.

I don't know if this is "normal" (never had a coil before), and its just that I am feeling it more agressively because I always react to any change in hormones, or if I should be worrying about an infection or something.

The spotting is old blood (ie brown).

Sorry if all that is tmi - feeling cr*ppy and a bit concerned as I've planned a trip to London tomorrow and going to Wales for a few days after that!!

was there a leaflet with your coil ?

i had a mirena coil, and had spotting and bleeding, for several weeks and some bloating and pain for a few days

i thought there weren;t hormones in a copper coil??

Oxygen · 10/04/2007 13:40

There probably was, but its been in coming up for a year now.

There aren't hormones in it, its my hormones I'm not sure of... thinking that if the coil doesn't stop conception, just implantation has it started, then been unimplanted iyswim

i don't even know if that's possible though - I really should have kept the leaflet
