Treatment for broken skin in groin area...

Hi, DS2 (0.5 months) has broken skin in his groin area on one side, and it is spreading to the other side (and to a lesser extent other creases in his arms).

We are newly arrived in Australia from the UK, and it is quite hot here, and I think it's probably a reaction to the heat, rather than a fungal infection (he has no other sign of nappy rash anywhere else).

I am trying to keep it dry, and am giving him some nappy-free time.

Can anyone recommend the best way to treat?

Thanks

might be impetigo which spreads rapidly, worth while getting it checked out . My little boy had it in his groin area and it grew rapdily in 48hrs .

Thanks, I have a feeling it may be partly due to excessive-cleaning in the bath one day...he's not had any blisters.

If it's not better overnight I'll take him to a dr.

Thanks for your info!
