I’m hoping someone can advise me here.... DH has bronchiectasis and is prescribed antibiotics and steroids when he has a flare up. Before going on holiday he asked his GP for a supply in case he needed them whike abroad. Whike we were away he started getting wheezy so took the ABs for the course, but only used the steroids for two days as he started to feel better. I was under the impression that a course of steroids was until they had been finished, but he is saying that it is fine to take them as and when. I’m worried that by doing this he is effectively reducing their effiency in the long term. Any advise would be appreciated.
