Rib cage pain

Mammyofonlyone · 07/10/2017 10:15

For the last couple of days I've had an intermittent really sharp pain right in the middle of my rib cage. I'm going to my GP on Monday to get it checked but does anyone have ideas? It doesn't hurt to breathe but moving in certain positions causes a really sharp shot of pain. I know online diagnoses are dangerous but I'm scared in case it's something serious. Any ideas would be welcome, thank you

Costochonditis? I had similar earlier this year. Sharp pain at the bottom of my right rib, lasted for weeks and I'd worked myself in to a right state. Doctor confirmed costochonditis. It did just disappear eventually.

You most likely twisted wrong and pulled a muscle. Hurts a lot be rib cage.

Thanks, I've just googled costocondritis and that sounds likely. Thank you.
