Poured boiling water on myself

So I've just accidentally poured quite a large amount of boiling water on my left hand - on the back of it from about two cm above my fingers and all of my fingers were covered. Although tiredness and clumsiness meant I kept my hand in the stream of hot water way too long.

I've stuck my hand in cold water for 20 minutes as the NHS website says. My fingers are swollen and red but the pain isn't that bad.

But here's my question the NHS website says any pregnant woman with burns should get medical attention. Does this mean right now or see how I get on? Seriously don't want to go to a&e and waste anyone's time just because I'm pregnant! Definitely wouldn't consider getting medical advice if I wasn't!

I would go. Your obviously not wasting anyone's time if it says to seek medical attention on the NHS website. If anyone says anything make sure you tell them that. Better to be safe than sorry

Phone 111 and ask them. That’s what they are there for!

I would go too.
Also burns that seem to not hurt need looking at asap. You may have burnt quite deeply and damaged the nerves hence the feeling that it doesn't hurt much.
No harm in having a check over.

Thanks for the advice! I've called 111 and a clinician is calling me back. Feel really daft tbh. I've worked in kitchens my whole life and had burns much worse than this. Can tell I'm a first time mum lol anything with a pregnancy warning and I panic!

Although will be getting my dh to make up hot water bottles for my crampy legs for the rest of my pregnancy lol.
