Hi all,

So my DP has been having really weird heart palpitations for the last week or so & the odd bit of chest pain. As I worrier I made him make a doctors app to get this checked out, doctor referred DP to a cardiologist and also did some bloodwork on him this was on Wednesday, Friday comes and so does a letter saying the doctor wants to see DP to discuss his test results. I am now terrified. Within 48 hours he has been tested and received a letter, this is bad isn't it?

If it was bad he would have had a phone call asking him to come in right away.
You're worrying and over thinking.

A lot of blood tests don't take long to actually do. I agree that if it were very serious, they would ring.

Hi gemxo

My dh had blood tests and got a call the same day... that was a few weeks ago now and although we are still having other tests and appointments to find out what it is so please please don't jump to conclusions. The prompt letter means they have found something out of the ordinary that they have to invesitgate. The bloods themselves don't tell the whole story- they are just An indicator.

I am pregnant too, and I know how hard it is not to worry. I have been very upset these past few weeks but you know what, it hasn't made any difference iyswim. You worrying won't make your dh any better or time pass any quicker.

Please be reassured the docs are looking into it and are there to help you and your dh. Try to relax, or distract yourself, and focus on today. Don't get ahead of yourself x
