Does anyone here have adrenal insufficiency? I was diagnosed with it this week after spending a year back and forwards to the gp feeling awful. I also have asthma and hypothyroidism and I haven’t been given a lot of information yet - consultant literally told me the results of a special blood test over the phone and prescribed hydrocortisone tablets! I’m waiting to see the endocrinologist nurse soon (hopefully). I’ve done a lot of googling and joined Facebook support groups but just wanted to post here to see if anyone else wanted to chat / share experiences.
They are saying mine probably isn’t addisons as I’ve had problems with my pituitary gland before (raised prolactin) so they suspect my pituitary is the culprit but obviously the end result is the same as addisons (where the adrenal glands themselves don’t work).
