Spotty head

I have had spots at the crown and nape of my head for a good few years (!) Now. I've had doctor's appointments and been given steroid liquid, special shampoos etc but they just keep coming back. A quick count tonight is at least 7, they bleed scab over and then come back again. Does anyone else get this and been given the reason / and medication to get rid - hopefully permanently.

Namethecat I have dermatitis and get little spots on my scalp. Quite similar to you in that they prickle/bleed/scab. Tar based shampoos made it worse. Weirdly mine is less sore when I get my hair cut regularly and wash it at least every other day. If my hair gets greasy it irritates the scalp.

I saw a Dermatologist and he recommended Dermax shampoo - behind the counter at the pharmacy, white bottle in a purple and yellow box, approx £10 but works for me.
