My periods aren't great - fairly heavy, usually painful but I'm used to it. Also get loads of gas and bloating, which makes me a delight to be around as you can imagine.

I'm currently nauseaous with a gurgling stomach and think it is hormonal rather than a sickness bug. I feel like I might be sick, not too sure. also (and sorry for the TMI) my farts are really stinky. Almost like stale Cajun. It is really weird.

Thing is, it's really not pleasant and I'm not sure what to do about work tomorrow. It has slowly gotten worse over the course of the day. How do you know that you're that ill that you can't go to work? I find it really hard to gauge and usually ask my mum (I know!!) but can't right now. I also have workaholic tendencies...

Any help and advice is much appreciated.

i always feel nauseous around my period. sometimes i feel like can't move, it's that bad.
i wear those anti travel sickness wrist bands which help a little bit, and drink ginger and lemon tea in slow sips.
i remember once going to the pharmacy during my lunch break as i felt so sick with it and they looked me like i was crazy, couldnt offer any advice. but i believe it's very common. doesnt help that I'm also severely emetophobic!

It sounds as if you have a bug..... periods shouldn't make you feel like this.
