10 week long period?

DD is 20 and really struggling away at uni with the period from hell

The GP can't see her again until next week & she is really getting down

I wish I could suggest something but I have no idea what; she is tired, emotional and fairly unreasonable (as I would be in the same position)

Is there anything that will make her feel better?

Is she using any sort of contraception?

She had the implant which they took out a few weeks ago (after about a year of increasing periods)

Then they gave her an injection for contraception - I know little about this - we had researched the implant, but didn't have much time to look into this

She also has a misshapped cervix (mushroom?) but the GP won't look at that again until the bleedng stops

& it's really getting her down

I bled all the time with the injection and i put on hundreds of weight. She could maybe take the pill alongside the injection to try to stop the bleeding. She will have to wait until the jab wears off which is normally 12 weeks (although effects can last much longer)

Oh Christ - that sounds like a good swop an implant that caused and 8 week period for an injection which has sextended it for 3 weeks

That was clever
