DS2 had meningitis last year & is thankfully ok. His best friend at his childminder has just been diagnosed with it. I know there's different types but while I feel for his parents, he is also on the mend as well, I juest wondered what the chances of ds getting anything nasty. The rational side of me thinks unlikely & feels really bad for his friends mum & dad but the hysterical mother side of me is just a teeny weeny bit concerned about ds2.

I would imagine that your DS has more antibodies (is therefore better protected) against the bacteria that can cause meningitis than most peopple, having had it already. But that's just a guess.
