Positive experience of tongue tie operation

Just thought I would post with a positive outcome to a tongue tie operation. DS was discovered to be tongue tied at 5 weeks - having struggled to breastfeed. Went on to the waiting list for the operation immediately. I was, of course, terrified of the general anaesthetic. Well, the operation was last week and it went like a breeze. He went in for surgery at 8.20am and was back in my arms at 8.40am - and that included putting him under the anaesthetic and him coming out! He drank a bottle of milk immediately and although grizzly the next day has had no ill effects. We were home by 10.30am! I cannot recommend highly enough - I can already hear different sounds coming from him and his eating of solids is getting better and better (he's 8 months old). We were referred to the new Children's hospital at the JR in Oxford.
