Nose infection?!

So I really should make a GO appointment but thought I would ask here first.

For well over a year I have had issues with my left nostril. It is sore if I rub my nose (inside) gets really crusty and scabby and fills up with really thick green gunge, quite a lot of it (it doesn't run out) ... It usually flares up and then dies down but has flared up this time and not gone away.

What could it be? Don't think it's sinus related. My nose also has a bump on the side of it that didn't used to be there (looks like I have broken my Nose)... any ideas?

You could have a fungal or bacterial infection - difficult location for something like that to clear up on its own! You'd need to go to your GP and get a specific cream.

I've had the same internal symptoms and when its been really bad the bridge of my nose has swelled so much i couldn't wear my glasses. Mine is usually bought on by too much air con, sat in the office under a vent, but I've had it when travelling alot long haul too. I had a course of antibiotics from the GP when it all swelled up but since then I've been able to keep it under control with saline nasal spray and keeping the air a little more humid at home with a couple of water holder thingys on the radiators.

Sounds like a trip to the GP is in order to get you sorted first off OP.
