I severed my flexor tendon in my thumb 3 weeks ago and am 2 weeks post surgery to reattach. Just wondering others experience of recovery? My thumb is still really swollen and quite stiff, I'm doing the exercises every hour but as time goes on they are getting more painful to do, I'm guessing it's because things are starting to heal but the movement is then pulling any scar tissue apart. If this has happened to you, what was your experience like? How much movement have you regained?
