Mid cycle spotting

Hi all, this is my first ever time posting, I'm in my early 30s I have 3 children and have never had mid cycle bleeding, however, today I have been having some spotting and faint bleeding (mainly when wiping) sorry for TMI Confused I have also been having some cramping. I had my last period on the 1st (day 1) had sex with my husband (day 12) and now it's day 16... we are not planning on having any more children, is this something to worry about? I'm paranoid it is implantation bleeding although I've never had it before. Will go to the doctors Monday to put my mind at rest but would like some advice please Smile
Thanks in advance!

When i had similar I had an abnormal smear result which needed treatment. I assume your smear is up to date?

I started to get mid cycle bleeding approx 10 years ago. Its started off very light like you mentioned but gradually got heavier and heavier to the point I was bleeding more days than I wasn't :( I'd had a clear smear test but lapsed having the next one. When I did, the results came back inconclusive, so I was eventually (rubbish gp) referred to gynae and it turned out I have a mahoosive polyp! I needed surgery to have it removed and touchwood not had anything since. I have had clear smears since.

I'm due one in January, I did have a baby 6 months ago, but will ask if I can have it bought forward

I thought you said you were due in Jan! Must read more carefully.

Keep a diary. It was that that convinced the gp that there was something wrong and not me being over sensitive. Hard to dismiss something that shows many days of bleeding and not many of none. All the best and I hope you get answers. Be prepared as it might take a while.

I've had this!!!!!
We are actually ttc so was hopeful it was implantation bleeding but tests are all negative!
We are moving house and I had a miscarriage in may so am very very stressed and have lost a lot of weight recently so I'm pretty certain it's that
Also breastfeeding

Are you stressed? Could just be a random thing, breastfeeding can affect hormones which can then affect periods
Maybe just keep an eye on it!
I should go to see the gp but don't even have time for an appointment 🙈

When I had this I also had longer periods in general so wondered if you'd had any other changes?

Cause of my mid cycle bleeding was also a large polyp. Easily sorted with surgery if it is this but I think you should ask for a scan to check if there's anything going on.

I have this and had a normal smear and normal ultrasound. I had the ultrasound for pain, not the spotting. Doctors have been extremely blasé about it! Do I fill pads...no....ok, come back if you do. That kind of thing.
Mine has been blamed on a cervical erosion and hormones. It's very common though and doesn't have to be something to worry about so keep an eye on it and see if it persists.

Thank you, I have pain on and off throughout the month (more cramps really) I haven't had a chance to see the doctor yet as conveniently my three children have all been ill this week. But hoping to go next week just to keep my mind at ease!
