OMG HE HAS JUST TORN HIS WILLY!!! HELP!!

ds2 5 months old has just grabbed hold of his willy while i was changing his nappy and given it a right tug. so much so that he has made the base of it on the underneath part split a bit and bleed. its not bleeding that much and the split doesnt look too bad either....what should i do? He has a tight foreskin anyway and we are going to see the paediatrician on monday anyway.

Really embarrassing to admit this but my exH did that once (not through tugging it tho, something else entirely). It turned out he'd just ruptured a bit of the 'string' holding the foreskin on and gp said it was a good thing because it would make the foreskin a bit looser. You just have to be careful in case of infection

Happened to ds1 - clean carefully and keep an eye on it. If it keeps bleeding/weeping then take to dr. Ds's healed up quite quickly. Good luck on Monday.

Ouch!!!!! If it's not bothering him though, just bathe it in soapy water and try to let the fresh air get to it.
Be grateful too that your ds obviously has one big enough for him to grab hold of, mine has one that's so small it looks as though he's permanently freezing! Must take after his father

WK - you aren't alone, DH did this whilst we were in the middle of something IYGWIM. Yhr fun of trying to apply a pressure dressing using one of those finger splint things as he refused point blank to go to A&E. Gross fact.....despite lots of showers I still leaked Dh's blood for the next 2 days....

BB - Its really common, DS will be fine

mine made a bit of skin above his bottom bleed this morning and boy did it bleed worried me to death i am sure he will be fine though

sorry lou and almost40!!! Some of us expect our men to be able to handle a fair bit of use and unfortunately get disappointed!!!

ll - I made UH stick his in a jugful of dilute Savlon!!! Then I let him deal with it and forced him to go to the gp the next morning. And fortunately it was while he was 'ringing the bell' rather than actually 'in the kitchen' IYKWIM, so I didn't have your problem!!!
