How long will it last? Only been a few hours so early days but it's so sore. About to go to work, any tips? Taken Co codamol, can't have any anti inflammatory's.

I had a tongue biopsy done during the year...it wasnt big at all but it was incredibly sore. I was told it would be sore for a day or two but if I'm being honest with you the discomfort lasted a week. I was put on antibiotics to minimise infection.

Hope you get relief soon.

Not tongue, but thyroid, it hurt a week. I felt some pain every time I swallowed and my neck was sore. I had no idea biopsies hurt like that both while they are carried out and afterwards.

Day 3 and struggling to sleep on the side it's taken from and so sore. Keeping on top of the Co-codamol. The stitches feel so weird! I'll expect a few more days then.
Any ideas how long results take?

I got my results 2.5 weeks later but I already had an appointment for the specialist, it shouldn't really need that long to do the tests, I think. The result was grade 3, so right in the middle. I don't know if I'd been contacted earlier if it would have been a grade 4 or 5. I'm in Scotland though might be different in England/Wales.
It's such a worry, isn't it? I hope you feel better soon.
