Torticollis anyone?

Just wondering if anyone has torticollis? I was born with it but not diagnoised until I was 32. It has really caused my body to grow incorrectly, especially my jaw, neck and shoulder. An average person looking at me couldn't tell but sometimes it causes me pain and pulling. Anyone?

Hi yes I have this condition also.Had surgery which helped for a few years but now painful again .I take anti imflammitorys everyday and sometimes muscle relaxants which do help.It does affect the whole body though so you should have physio.

Thank you, Fluffypie1,
Yes this is what the neuromuscular dentist recommends too so I'm going to go for some treatment. Usually I'm ok as far as pain, but certain things cause flareups. For instance, I used to be a data entry clerk and the repetitive motion ended up giving me intense pain and carpal tunnel syndrome. I had to quit that job, sadly, and was off work recovering for 6 months. But thankfully, I found a job that has multitasking but I still have to be careful. I only work part time.

Have you ever had botox for it? I did back in 2007 and it helped. But I don't like having that type of injection put into my body. Were you born with it?

Hi sorry for late reply.Yes it is congenital but was more obvious as a teen and had the surgery in my late twenties.I wasn't able to have botox due to another condition unfortunately .
