In agony with gallstone/gallbladder pain. Haven't had an attack for ages. It's going to be a long night 😢

Oh you poor, poor thing. I was diagnosed with gallstones yesterday after a few agonising attacks. Hope your attack doesn't go on for too long. Sorry I had no useful suggestionFlowers.

Thank you Minty. It bloody hurts doesn't it? Hope you get sorted soon 💐

Have you tried a hot water bottle?
I know how awful that pain can be, it was the only thing that used to give a little bit of relief.
Hope it passes soon!

I've got a hot water bottle elizabeth, but it's not doing much. Just wish I could sleep then it might have eased when I woke up

Can you try putting some pillows behind you and lean on a few in front too in the bed and get a bit of sleep that way? Used to seem worse lying down for me.

How long have you had gallstones for? Are you being referred for surgery?

Bonosglasses · 14/09/2017 01:16

I've had them for a while but GP was happy to leave them as I haven't had an attack for such a long time. Think I'll go back to see him now though.

I can't get comfortable sitting or lying. Normally end up sitting on the edge of the sofa rocking. Going to try to get to sleep but if not I'll be off downstairs.

Yeah a trip back to the doctors might be worth it. Hope you did manage to get some sleep in the end and the pain wore off quickly.

I'm having mine out in a few weeks. Hope you're feeling better this morning, but when mine is threatening I take a couple of paracetamol. Rubbish but can take the edge off an attack so you can sleep!

Bonosglasses · 16/09/2017 09:30

I got some sleep, thank you. GP next week.

Good luck Billy 💐

Oh goodness I remember this pain! WAY worse than childbirth/contractions in my experience!
The only thing that ever helped me was vomiting. Like it released all the pressure, I used to lie in a ball on the bathroom floor for hours on end Sad

Thank god I got it taken out!
