My 12 month old but through his lip yesterday evening. There was lots of blood but he seemed ok and was eating/drinking fine.

I'm just feeding him and the cut looks deeper than we originally thought.

Is it worth a trip to A&E?

I would say a trip to out of hours

I'd say yes, just to help with healing as overnight it doesn't appear to have healed. With it being so close to the mouth it will be knocked a lot so I'd take him.

Thanks, I'll take him to emergency surgery this morning

A Minor Injuries Unit or A&E would probably be more geared up to assess him than a GP. It's not clear from the pictures but, if this extends beyond the lip (i.e. onto the white skin) then it probably does need something doing to it.
