I know that I am getting very close to needing a hospital admission again but cannot face time on our local NHS ward as the last two times I went in the fear of having to live on that psychiatric ward made me iller than when I went in and they also do not do anything with me other than leave me to vegetate and offer ECT.

I have phoned some companies about private health but it seems to be unavailable to me because I have a pre existing condition. Is that going to be the same with everyone?

I have looked into booking myself into a local priory hospital and am waiting for them to call me back but am waiting feeling almost certain thatthe cost is going to be too high.

I have looked at a local private facility but I was not convinced by their professionality and they seemed to have a prescriptive way of dealing with their patients which did not match my needs.

Are there any other options?

private health care will not cover pre existing conditions , and some don;t cover psychiatric care at all

the priory might spread the cost for you,

yes a few only covered pychiatric care in their top package and some would only cover so many days in patient treatment which in itself could make you ill if you were in hopital counting down the days until your cover runs out.
