GP for this or someone else (but who?)

Came back from holiday last Saturday and I've had a really strong burning sensation (like sunburn) across the top of my back/lower neck ever since. It's definitely not sunburn ( the weather wasn't that good) but I spent a lot of time carrying my youngest two children and a rucksack, so Dr Google suggests I may have a pinched nerve.

Is it worth going to my GP about this, or should I go straight to some kind of physio/osteopath/chiropractor, and if so, which one is likely to give the best results?

I think i would say Dr first, have you tried painkillers, ?
You could try the rub on ice or menthol painkilling gel, or ask your local pharmacist, which i often do before bothering Drs,they are often just as knowledgable.and will advise who to see

Is it across both sides of your body? If not it could be shingles...

I hadn't thought of the pharmacist, I might give them a go tomorrow, thanks!

I hope it's not shingles, all three children had chicken pox sequentially this year, I am done with that virus!
