Help! Norethisterone

I've been prescribed this to take to prevent my period over my wedding. Wedding is 7th oct.

I came on my current period yesterday.

I've had six cycles since coming off the pill and they've been the following lengths: 24,24,26,27,22,24

Box says to take 3 days before period. But I'm not regular! Do I start taking it three days before my shortest cycle (day 19 seems so early) or 3 days before an averaged cycle?

If my period comes naturally on day 22-25 it would be over before the wedding but I'm so scared it'll be an odd one, 29/30 days and I'll be on on the day

I took it the day I went on holiday and took it for the duration of my holiday as I am similar in odd cycles.

Usually stops period quite fast ime
If hasn't started by 25 start norethisterone on 26 so it def won't happen over wedding?

I'm naive here but if I take it on 25 but it would have naturally started on 26 it's not leaving the "three days before your period". I hate the uncertainty and guess work.

Forget when you would normally come on, it doesn't matter. Just start taking it 4/5 days before your wedding, you just won't have a period - it won't start as long as you're taking the tablets 3 times a day. As long as you have enough to last you over the wedding week and honeymoon- if you're having a honeymoon.

Keep taking them as long as you need to. Once you stop taking them your period will start and then just carry on your cycle will click back in.

I found once I'd been taking them for a week or so I could stretch them out to twice a day instead of 3.

I took them for 5 months to stop my constant bleeding before my hysterectomy in June.

The timing between my 'periods' lasts anything from 1 to 14 days, I just took the tablets 2 days before going in holiday and took the last on the last day. A period started 3 days later and I am back to my 'regular' cycles! (If they can be called regular!)
