Verrucas

I have struggled with verrucas since the age of 5 (my mom managed to deal with them) but they have recently returned and have been present for the past 3-4 years. At first it was only one but more soon spread, becoming quite an annoyance for me, however, I was told that it was best if you were to 'let them take their course and they will go on their own' which I did for a while, until they started to spreading to one of my hands - this was not only extremely embarrassing but it also caused me pain and were spreading quicker and quicker. So after months of treatment, (with the assistance of my mother) still there seemed to be no progress, I have tried
• Salicylic acid
• Silver nitrate
• Nitrogen freezing treatment
• Ducktape

Right now I'm just finishing the Salicylic Disk Treatment, which has damaged my skin to the point where it's bleeding if I file it. This is something I'd really like to get sorted... even if it's just eradicating the verrucas from my hands. I heard tea tree oil is good? And banana skin? I'd just like to know what you've tried and what's worked for you.

Thank you in advance.

Duct tape and apple cider vinegar worked quite well but I had to stop as it started hurting quite a bit. Went to the podiatrist this week though to have them lasered and she said I'd done quite a good job on them and she thinks they're on their way out. I filed them every night, cotton wool soaked in ACV, duct tape and then surgical tape to keep it all in place. Repeat for daytime but minus the vinegar.

As they are spreading and quite quickly have you been to the doctor? Sometimes it can indicate a lowered immune system.

I've been to the GP and have seen a private consultant, both advised leaving the verrucas until they went on their own, which wouldn't have been such a problem if they we not on my hands. We're going to try the laser treatment and see how that works. And I'll also try the ACV if that fails. Thank you for your replies.
