What's this on my leg?

This rash has appeared on my thigh over the last few days. Googling hasn't come up with much and doctors appointments are hard to get round here so won't be seen until at least next week (plus I fly tomorrow and won't be back for two weeks).
Anyone had anything similar? Or can take a guess at what it might be

OhTheRoses · 01/09/2017 12:41

It looks like a bruise to me.

Bombaypotatoes · 01/09/2017 12:45

Doesn't feel like a bruise, but who knows. Been quite achy the last few days and seem to have a cold coming on, but nothing else, no pain/burning.

I would ask at the pharmacy. Does it disappear under a glass?

Bombaypotatoes · 01/09/2017 21:19

No doesn't dissappear under a glass.

I sometimes get patches like that if I've been absent mindedly scratching myself

ineedamoreadultieradult · 01/09/2017 22:00

I had a similar rash on my thigh. As it didn't disappear under a glass and I had a friend who died from meningitis I panicked and phoned 111 who wanted to send an ambulance I managed to persuade them I could take myself to a drop in centre. At the drop in centre the Doctor said it was probably just from a trauma to the area or pressure on the area at some point. He said if it was meningitis rash you would know about it as the rash is one of the later symptoms and you would already be feeling very unwell by the time the rash came up.
